GRAND-RIVIÈRE - ANSE-COULEUVRE HIKE
Pierced by indented cliffs, this authentic and isolated village faces the raging sea, giving it the illusion of being at the world's end…
Sublime landscapes that must be photographed or observed. Grand-Rivière and its surroundings are a concentrate of lights, landscapes, and an atmosphere difficult to depict. The sun filters through the bamboos, the evening air is as fresh as a crumpled mint leaf, the winds swell the sea with infinite foam. A thin stream is surmounted by a metal bridge of surprising importance: so many unexpected and superb points of view to discover during this hike.
Grand-Rivière - Anse-Couleuvre (in Prêcheur) hike. The most outstanding hike of the island! With a bit of luck, you will see the famous “matoutou-falaise”, the tarantulas! It seems that this is their favorite place. For your information, they have been protected since 1995 and are not dangerous, at least that's what we were told! You will join the Caribbean coast through the virgin forest (18 km, about 6 hours of walking). You will discover luxuriant vegetation: open your eyes well and do not forget your camera as well as the bathing suit to dive into the sea while waiting for the fisherman for your return by yawl. You will then go along the northern coast of Martinique. The cliffs sculpted by the sea, the creeks, and the coves will dazzle you by their beauty. You will pass from the Caribbean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean. When you arrive in Grand-Rivière, you can relax in the river's eddies, for a very invigorating bath.

Pas beaucoup de vu sur la mer, mais splendide quand même!
