ASSOCIATION FIBRES INSERTION ET BAMBOU POUR LE DÉVELOPPEMENT (AFIBAD)
A life-size showcase of the possible applications of fibre plants: this is the mission of the Association Fibres Insertion et Bambou pour le Développement. On this site, we discover a vegetable and medicinal garden, a nursery, and above all a bamboo forest. About ten varieties make it up: guadua, giant bamboo, multiplex bamboo... The idea is to show all that can be done with these famous fibre plants, whether it is bamboo, vetiver or mahaut. Furniture, landscaping, hedges, beams, terraces, carpentry...: only imagination has its limits! In addition, the structure has taken the form of an integration site that allows unemployed people to be remobilized by enabling them to acquire new professional skills, while enhancing the value of local plant resources.
