The Distillerie La Favorite is located between Fort-de-France and Le Lamentin, in the urban outskirts of Martinique's capital. One of the oldest dis tilleriesstill in operation, it is still entirely steam-powered. Here, you can discover all the stages involved in harvesting sugarcane, fermentation, distillation and aging in oak barrels. The distillery produces several types of rum, including white rums such as the authentic cœur de canne. You'll also find aged rums and rhums hors d'âge: Réserve du château, La Flibuste, cuvée d'exception ...Note that they all benefit from the AOC label and are suitable for sipping on their own or in cocktails.
