ÉGLISE SAINT-HENRI
An immaculate pier topped by a bell tower that leads straight into the Caribbean Sea, this is the flagship cliché of this star of a village.
It is the star of one of Martinique's most famous landscapes. The Catholic church of Saint-Henri is located in exact alignment with the pontoon of the Anse-d'Arlet beach, which plunges into the turquoise waters. Built in the second half of the 17th century, the church has been damaged by numerous cyclones and rebuilt in a variety of architectural styles. Its wooden bell tower was last renovated in 2008. The church is home to numerous choirs. Don't miss the colorful Sunday mass.
