This unique village pays tribute to the knowledge of the Ancients and tells the tumultuous history of the island. A remarkable duty of memory!

Located in the Trois-Ilets countryside, on a three-hectare wooded plot on the edge of the forest, Savane des Esclaves was born of the perseverance of Gilbert Larose. This Martiniquan, passionate about the history of his island, had the idea of a village dedicated to the Kalinagos Indians, to honor the memory of this people of slaves, of whom he is the descendant, and to pass on the way of life, knowledge and traditions of his ancestors.

Lieu incontournable si on s’intéresse au passé de la Martinique et de ses habitants. On salue le gros travail réalisé pour aménager le site. Très belle visite.
