MUSEO VICTORIANO NIEVEZ CESPEDES
Small museum with wide corridors, arches and columns, and a large central patio that traces the history of the island.
This small museum is housed in a handsome 19th-century building typical of the Porfirian era, with its vast corridors, arches, columns and large central patio. Formerly a hospital, it was converted into a museum in 1998. It traces the island's history through five modules featuring pre-Hispanic artefacts and objects related to the world of pirates and the island's natural environment. A room is also devoted to photographic, pictorial and sculptural exhibits.
