MÉRIDA FEST
Go there and contact
A joyful festival in honor of the capital of Yucatán. In theatres and in the street, music, dance, circus, etc.
The Mérida Festival celebrates the founding of the city on January 6, 1542, by Francisco de Montejo y León. On the program: cinema, theater, dance, concerts, circus and academic conferences, all within the reach of everyone, since the events are free. All the city's cultural venues take part in this emblematic festival, which also takes place in the streets, with musical parades. The partly virtual 2021 festival paid tribute to local maestro Armando Manzanero, who died in December 2020 shortly after the inauguration of a museum in his honor.
