A set formed by a rectangular square and its surrounding palaces, composed of 9 triangular units in Uxmal

This complex was originally formed by a rectangular square and its surrounding palaces. However, only part of the north building has survived the passage of the centuries. The "grupo el palomar" is actually an old palace of which only the wall remains. It consists of 9 triangular units that are arranged above pillars. Each triangular unit has openings in the form of a dovecote, hence the name given to this group of buildings by the explorer John L. Stephens. It could have had an astronomical function.

Grupo El Palomar, Uxmal, Mexique
Le Grupo el Palomar représente neuf unités triangulaires disposées au-dessus des piliers, ce serait le seul mur restant d’un palais. J’ai trouvé ces vestiges très ouvragés et magnifiques.
