Hacienda Real del Caribe is the best hotel for a relaxing getaway in Playa del Carmen, with a great combination of comfort and proximity to local attractions. Located just off Fifth Avenue, ten minutes from the Federal Highway, it's an excellent base for exploring the city and surrounding area. The air-conditioned rooms feature a traditional colonial ambiance and maximum comfort. Wi-Fi, a swimming pool and a restaurant are also available. In the accommodations, you'll find all the facilities you need for a guaranteed change of scenery. Some rooms have one bed, others two, but all have private bathrooms and cable TV. It was hard to get more than 3 hours of sleep because there's a rooftop bar/club that runs until 3am every day of the week. There was ongoing construction inside the hotel so again sleep was limited to about 4 hours. It's a nice hotel with a very chill vibe. The staff were wonderful and accommodating. I really wanted to give this hotel more than a 2 star. Maybe when I return, I can update this review.
