Hotel Posada Sian Ka'an is a veritable oasis located on Fifth Avenue in Playa del Carmen. This pioneering hotel in the region has a history that dates back to the 1970s, when the tourist corridor now known as Riviera Maya began receiving its first visitors. Originally a camping site and accommodation for motorhomes, over time the hotel has grown to respect the endemic vegetation and wildlife, thanks to the vision of our founding partner, Raul Gutièrrez. The name "Sian Ka'an" means "the gateway to paradise" or "the beginning of paradise" in the Mayan language, and shares its name with the biosphere reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Today, Hotel Posada Sian Ka'an is a veritable urban oasis, eclectic and in harmony with the 5 elements of nature: Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Metal.
