Chocolate museum with 8 interactive rooms, filled with realistic figurines and authentic accessories

With a reputation that is well established in Europe, the Chocolate Museum is now opening its doors in Playa. On the program, 8 interactive rooms, filled with realistic figurines and authentic accessories, always around the theme of cocoa. Its history, its production, its geopolitical stakes... everything is explained. At the end of the tour, a hot cocoa tasting prepared in the Mayan way is offered. Possibility to make a workshop to make your own chocolate!

Très bonne expérience. Nous avons beaucoup appris sur le chocolat avec une visite multilangue dont le français. Chocolat de bonne qualité. Personnel très accueillant et enthousiaste. A faire.

It's a nice little store with many types of chocolate. Create a chocolate experience. This store calls itself the chocolate museum on the outside. The museum had a fee. We didn't go in. The chocolate was good. They make it there so you can watch if you time it right.

A must visit, we hadn’t planned for it and we happened to come accros it when walking past it and we visited the place. A good place to learn history of chocolate and Mayan culture in Mexico and they end it with chocolate tasting and chocolate demonstration. Very good souvenirs to take from this place for yourself and friends

Total scam. It's all for show. They do not make the chocolate here. They do not roast the chocolate here just like Disneyland. It's all for show. You pay 10 times the price for the same chocolate. You can get in the grocery store locally.

This was rather boring, tbh. You can see from other's pics that it's mostly just static displays with audio explanations. The demonstration for making chocolate & getting a sample at the end was the best part. Kids will likely be bored with this museum, I know my own 13yo was bored with it until the end demonstration & tasting. However, I was disappointed that even there they didn't have a real cacao pod to see & touch since they really are quite unique.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend the museum, but I bet the chocolate making classes they offer would be worthwhile. I'd come back to try out one of those.

You get a discount if you visit here & the Frida Kahlo museum (you do have to mention it & show them your ticket from the other museum). I'd suggest going here first since you get a better discount at the Frida Kahlo museum.
