The beaches in Mexico are free and open to all, in theory. In practice and illegally, many beach hotels turn away tourists who are not their clients. The beach between Calle 1 Norte and Avenida Benito Juárez is lined with bars and restaurants that, in exchange for your drink, provide you with sunbeds and umbrellas, with music that is more or less loud depending on the place.
