The Papaya Playa Project is an upscale complex of cabanas and cottages on the edge of Playa Pescadores, facing the Caribbean Sea. It is 6 km from downtown Tulum and 4 km from Route 307. The sober, thatched cabañas offer jungle or sea views, and are equipped with mosquito netting, en suite bathrooms and terraces. The eco-chic cottages, meanwhile, feature free Wi-Fi, a minibar and some have a roof terrace and/or private outdoor pool. There's a spa, outdoor pool, trendy restaurant and sea-view bar. Yoga classes and water sports are also available.
