It is the only glass-bottomed boat in Rodrigues, quite recent and welcome since a superb natural aquarium awaits the curious just in front of the Mourouk, not too far from the coast but impossible to reach by swimming. From the hotel, we embark for an hour on a nice stroll on the lagoon: its multicolored reef fish, its corals and other underwater beauties. Attention! The hotel will be closed for total renovation from 15 January to 20 October 2020 and it is therefore very likely that this activity will be suspended

- we did not get a warm welcome
- there was no one to guide us and we had to locate tables ourselves
- zero smile from the waiter named jena.
We arrived on time after a phone call reservation for lunch. While choosing our food, less than 5 mins later the waitress rushed us to make a decision, said the kitchen will close soon. My husband was in the toilet and I had to send him a photo of the menu. There was no explanation on the menu by her. We received starters bread without butter. She just put it on our table and left. Were we supposed to eat that with chilli? Just after our lunch was over, 3 differenr families came, white skinned. The same waitress welcomed them, smiled and explained everything warmly to them. Not to forget it was an hour after our meal order and the kitchen was supposedly ‘closed’. No one came to see us. We asked someone else for our bill. After 15 mins it was not there. We had to walk to the cash office to pay. So I would like to outline the mediocrity of treating brown skin people or simply mauritian people differently like that. For me its a never to come again and I will also make sure no relative of mine goes through what I went through. After we paid we had packed the rest. We forgot it there. No one came to give it to us. Its a shame in 2024, for people to be so discriminative.
