Before becoming a cinema, it had other uses. Founded in 1873, it was originally a theater built by Juan Talavera y de la Vega in a decorative style typical of the Second Empire. Between 1896 and 1906, various works were carried out to refurbish the stage, increase the number of seats in the amphitheatre and replace the gas lighting with electricity. A further renovation in 1909 made it the most elegant and modern theater in Seville. In the 1950s, it was converted into a cinema. Spanish and international programming.
