SAN PEDRO CHURCH
Church erected in the square of the same name whose facade is attributed to Vermondo Resta
The parish church of San Pedro is located in the square of the same name. It was originally built in Gothic-Mudejar style and later restored. Its façade dates from 1624 and is attributed to Vermondo Resta. It was here that the painter Diego Velázquez was baptized. On the main façade, you will notice a glazed tile representing the purgatory, and in the frame, the artist added a small camouflaged bird. Legend has it that whoever sees it will soon be married. Inside, we note its main altarpiece, from the 17th century.
