SEVILLA TORRE
The highest building in Andalusia, the new skyscraper of 39 floors and 160 meters high
It is difficult not to see the new skyscraper that Seville has had since 2016, as soon as we approach the Guadalquivir. With a height of 180.50 meters, it is the highest building in Andalusia. Now called the Pelli Tower by the Sevillans, the name of its architect César Pelli, the author of other towers such as the Petronas towers of Kuala Lumpur or the tower of the Moma, in New York, he draws his silhouette in the southern part of the Cartuja of Seville. After an investment of € 325 million in Cajasol, then Caixabank, it has 39 floors as well as a 160 meter high, twice that of the Giralda. This is also what helped to circumvent the discord, as this height could break the harmony of the visual of the city of which many monuments are inscribed in the heritage of humanity. Since May 2018, the tower houses the Eurostar Torre Sevilla, a five star hotel which, from the 19 th to the 37 th floor, will offer 244 rooms: a presidential, 32 junior suites, 172 doubles and 39 individual, as well as a spa at 150 meters high, on the 35 th floor and a 37 th floor. This tower is part of a larger set including a shopping center, the new Caixa Forum cultural center and the Fernando de Magellanes Parque.
