HOTEL ALFONSO XIII
Inaugurated in April 1928 by the King himself, this neo-Mudejar Baroque hotel is surrounded by palm trees.
Surrounded by palm trees, its famous façade was designed for the 1929 Ibero-American Exhibition. The project was won by José Espiau y Muñoz, who drew inspiration from the Patio de los Venerables to build the central patio. The hotel was inaugurated at the end of April 1928 by the King himself! Its neo-Mudéjar Baroque style reflects the fashion of the time in Seville: azulejos, ironwork and brick decorations... The hotel isn't really open to smart purses, but if you "present yourself well", you can take a look inside one of the city's most famous palaces (restored for the 1992 Expo and again in 2011-2012), see its gardens and why not have a drink in one of its cafés. Real Madrid stars, Madonna, crowned heads, actors and other celebrities always visit...
