PRADO SAN SEBASTIÁN
A park that gives pride of place to water, in the manner of an Islamic garden, and that shelters about fifty plant species
The Prado San Sebastián housed the April ferias of 1846 and 1847. Before that, it contained two cemeteries during the great plague of Seville. In its current form, it was inaugurated in 1997. Structured on three levels, it gives pride of place to water (pond, fountains, small waterfalls) in the manner of an Islamic garden and houses some fifty plant species. The equestrian statue that sits in the garden is dedicated to the Cid. Every year, in October, the Festival of Nations takes place there and in winter it hosts an ice rink.
