MIRADOR DE MORAYMA
In the heart of the Albaicín, with a breathtaking view of the Alhambra, this restaurant occupies a brilliant location in an authentic historic carmen, a beautiful Andalusian villa, an oasis like in the countryside. Named after the wife of Boabdil, the last Nasrid emir of Granada, who stayed here, it was one of the first establishments with a terrace to open in the area, over 35 years ago! The Mirador de Morayma retains a certain prestige, with sumptuous gardens and noble lounges decorated in a rustic style with period furniture, archaeological pieces and beautiful ceramics... But the restaurant's good reputation has also been built on its fine cocina granadina, prepared within its walls using exclusively organic olive oil: fresh salmorejo, remojón (cod and orange) or pipirrana salad, crispy asparagus with ham, tasty caramelized apple blood sausage, typical Abadía Sacromonte tortilla, chicken breast stuffed with spinach, chuletas de cordero (grilled lamb chops)... For dessert, choose from a range of excellent Arabo-Andalusian-inspired pastries. Bonus: a good wine cellar (including organic wines from the Sierra Nevada foothills) and another address with accommodation in the Alpujarras. Just ring the doorbell and you'll be greeted with the most attentive service!
