This bar is a little hidden away on a side street a few steps from Plaza Nueva. But this family-run business founded in 1968 (photo of the founder behind the barra) is well worth a visit. The reasons? A great atmosphere, hearty tapas and a wide choice of Andalusian dishes ranging from gazpacho and migas to rabo de toro, fried prawns and habas (beans) served with ham and eggs. All can be enjoyed behind a large bar or in one of the lounges. Simple, effective and inexpensive.
