PALACIO MARIANA PINEDA * * * *
Seigniorial palace with a patio full of history for an exceptional stay in Granada
Created in 2001, this is a superb hotel-museum. This well-preserved 17th-century seigniorial palacewith its storied patio was the family home of popular heroine Mariana Pineda, a symbol of the people and a "liberal" martyr. There are five beautifully decorated rooms with period wooden ceilings, traditional and noble furnishings and bathrooms with azulejos and hydromassage baths. At the foot of the Alhambra, maximum comfort is guaranteed: à la carte services (beauty, massages, baby-sitting...), plasma TV with built-in Internet and satellite channels, free wi-fi... A good idea for an exceptional stay. Near the building's foundations, archaeological remains including an ancient water well can be visited, and a bodega (Bodega Mil, dating from 1644) serving drinks and snacks is open daily (Monday to Thursday, noon to 4pm and 7pm to midnight; Friday to Sunday, noon to midnight).
