HOTEL MONJAS DEL CARMEN * * *
Bright hotel in a quiet pedestrian street with thirty-two comfortable rooms in Granada
In addition to its strategic location in a quiet pedestrian street, close to everything, this bright new hotel, inaugurated in early 2011, boasts a sober yet meticulous decor and a patio with staircase and gallery reminiscent of a traditional Moorish residence. Arranged over three floors and fairly well soundproofed, the thirty-two high-comfort rooms (including two for the disabled), in dominant black, white and grey, are spacious and bathed in natural light, offering sitting areas and balconies. With en-suite shower or bathtub, all feature two joinable beds with new bedding, floating parquet floors and all the amenities you need for an excellent stay: hairdryer, laptop-size safe, silent heating and air-conditioning, mini bar, flat-screen TV with international channels... Some open onto a street where the Holy Week procession passes by. And all are double-glazed. You can also book comfortable apartments in the Albaicín (San Juan de los Reyes). The restaurant at this highly recommended hotel, with its personalized, multilingual welcome, is run by Los Manueles, a well-known and much-appreciated neighboring restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine.
