It was in 1995, at the age of 34, that Daniel Gil de Alvalle opened his first shop in Granada, with a long way to go since he started in this art at the age of 17, under the direction of a master luthier. And nearly forty years later, and notwithstanding the many awards he received, it is only today that he feels satisfied with the work he has done, since the sounds produced by the instruments he makes correspond to the objectives he had set for himself. In other words, we are entering a high place of taste for meticulous work, from the selection of woods to the construction of instruments. And that the notion of time becomes meaningful again if we know that it will take 10 to 30 years for the selected wood to dry properly. You can buy an instrument, flamenco guitar, concert or classical and if you wanted to order one, no rush, it will take about a year.
