Located at the corner of the cuesta del Chapiz and the road to Sacromonte, it is a group of 14th century Moorish houses whose architecture and decoration have Christian but also Muslim elements. It is believed to have been part of the former Islamic palace Dar al-Bayda. Since 1932, it has been the headquarters of the School of Arab Studies, which studies the texts of al andalusí as well as Arab archaeology and architecture.
