This former nasrid caravanserai of the th century (the only preserved caravanserai of Spain), with its typical entrance and balconies on two floors, today hosts a few domiciliations of festivals and demonstrations in Granada, like the flamencos summers! After Reconquista, this merchant hostel for shopping in the bazaar was transformed into a theatre where playwright Lope de Vega, in person, came before being turned into a court for charcoal sellers, hence his current name!
