CORRAL DEL CARBÓN
Hostel hosting some festivals and events in Granada
This former 14th-century Nasrid caravanserai (the only preserved caravanserai in Spain), with its typical entrance and two-storey balconies, is now home to some of Granada's festivals and events, such as the Summer Flamencos. After the Reconquista, this inn for merchants who came to trade in the bazaar was transformed into a theater where the playwright Lope de Vega himself performed, before being transformed into a courtyard for charcoal sellers, hence its current name.
