MUSEO MEMORIA DE ANDALUCÍA
Museum with elliptical patio presenting temporary exhibitions and shows in its cultural center
Inaugurated in May 2009 and sponsored by the Caja Granada bank, this museum offers a highly interesting tour of Andalusian history and identity. Housed in a futuristic white building designed by architect Alberto Campo Baeza, its elliptical patio inspired by that of Charles V's Alhambra palace is impressive! Thanks to a plethora of new technologies and multimedia of the latest generation, interactive and playful, it's a museum to see, touch, hear and feel Andalusia. Starting from a cartographic point of departure based on the principle of a giant Pandora's box, thanks to cutting-edge sensory systems, you can put yourself in the shoes of more than 145 historical protagonists as you move through chronologies, with windows focusing on various aspects (nature, economy...), exhibition showcases, strata of memories, sound and audiovisual landscapes... An invitation to discover Andalusia, recommended, before taking its communication routes for real. Keep a close eye on the calendar of events at the cultural center and media library (free admission), which programs temporary exhibitions, shows (theater, music, etc.), workshops and film cycles.
