Oh, the good Italian-cooked ice creams! Here, since 1936, the date of the founding of the institution by Paolo de Rocco, the rallying point for all the greedy gourmands for the last four generations. A narrow corridor flanked by a very long aluminium counter, leading to a small terrace on the bottom (Calle de Abenabar) to order small pots and cones: hazel, Málaga - yes, with raisins -, Jerez, turrón, iced brown…, excellent cassates, queens of night, cuts, like the wonderful Cuore Amargo, and ice or horchatas pies and granizadas at cheap prices. No colour in sight (we are hidden all!), order exclusive recipes! Summer 2010, the staff in white blouse had the joy and honour to serve Michelle Obama (and his staff) visiting! And every summer, if you notice the world in the surrounding area, it's the customers who hurry there.
