Spending the night in a glass igloo is an extraordinary experience, especially for viewing the northern lights. Levin Iglut's igloos are located in Utuvaara, 340 m above sea level, on the side of Levi mountain. Fully equipped igloos with kitchen and shower, 3 of which are premium igloos, with hot tubs on their private terraces and breathtaking views. The gourmet restaurant is in the beautiful main building. From €369 to €783 per night in a superior igloo (2 adults, plus possibly two children) depending on the season, and from €432 to €896 in a premium igloo for two. Breakfast included. Dinner at €69 per adult, starter-main course-dessert menu, and €34.50 per child (under 12).
Owner's Message
Our small, boutique-style glass igloo is located in Finnish Lapland, close to the vacation destination of Levi. Kittilä airport is about a 15-minute drive from us. During the high season, there are several non-stop international flights to Kittilä every week and several flights from Helsinki every day.
From one man's dream to the best igloo experience in Lapland
Levin Iglut - Golden Crown was born of Tauno Mäkelä's dream. He found himself on the slopes of Utsuvaara, where the view was unforgettable, and wanted to share it with others too. Four luxurious glass igloos were completed on the site in 2008. This also marked the start of a family business dedicated to offering customers the best igloo experience in Lapland. Today there are 27 glass igloos and services are complemented by the Utsu restaurant. Personalized, sincere service continues to be the basis of everything we do.

Our reception is open every day during the opening season. We will reopen on 1.9.2023

We provide free parking for our guests. You can recharge your electric car in the hotel courtyard with your own charger and adapter, 15 euros/charge.
Transport
Private transfers can be arranged from Kittilä airport or other locations to the igloos. Reservations must be made at least 3 days before arrival [email protected]
During high season
Transfers from Levi hotels to the igloos at 4:00 pm and from the igloos to Levi hotels at 11:00 am for €18 / one way. Reservations must be made either when booking the igloo or no later than one day before arrival. You can also book a private transfer. This must be booked no later than 3 days before arrival.
Wi-Fi and cell phone coverage
We provide our guests with free Wi-Fi in the accommodation and in the restaurant/reception building. Due to our northern location, the Wi-Fi connection is not always the best. The area has good cell phone coverage.
Breakfast
The price of your stay includes a varied, high-quality breakfast, served mainly in the Utsu restaurant. Breakfast is also available when you're not staying with us, at a cost of €22/person. Please book in advance with our reception. Reopening on 1.9.2023

Our modern Scandinavian cuisine is among the best in Lapland. We recommend reserving a table for dinner and lunch. Lunch is served daily from 1.12.2023 to 31.3.2024, from noon to 2.30pm. Online reservations are now open for next season!

Kota
Kota, a traditional Sami dwelling in the courtyard of Levin Iglut, is open to our guests at all times when not reserved for a private event. At Kota, you can spend time together by a Finnish-style log fire. Firewood is provided at Kota. You can buy sausages for cooking at reception. Drinks can be ordered from our restaurant.
Kota can be booked for a private dinner for two by contacting [email protected] or [email protected] 7 days in advance. The price of €595/2 people includes the private chef and private use of Kota, drinks are not included in the price.
Activities
Activities can be booked in advance through us for the autumn and winter periods. Beautiful autumn days can be spent cycling, golfing, hiking, horseback riding, northern lights hunting, visiting the husky farm, foraging or canoeing. The snowy winter day can be devoted to snowshoeing, snowmobiling, a husky or reindeer ride, northern lights hunting, cooking, skiing, a visit to the snow village or snow sculpting, to name but a few. RESTAURANT UTSU
On a breathtaking spot on Levitunturi Utsuvaara stands a glass-roofed tower - the Utsu restaurant. Restaurant Utsu continues the saga of Levin Iglut's restaurants, with pure Arctic nature and its changing seasons at its center. Our menu of pure, tasty ingredients and responsible local produce, together with the warm ambience and surrounding landscape, guarantees refreshment for body and mind.
We are inspired by Arctic nature and the purest air in Europe that we can breathe here. We harvest some of our ingredients ourselves from the forests in the immediate vicinity: mushrooms, berries, lichen... there are also fish-rich rivers and lakes nearby, as well as the Norwegian fjords and mountains with all they have to offer.
The strong seasonal variations in the north, from midnight sun to polar night, make the flavors intense and affect the availability of ingredients. They inspire by using seasonal ingredients and cooking methods that preserve natural flavors. Our menu lives with the season and changes throughout the season.
