My daughter and I enjoyed our stay in the Washington suite just before Christmas. Absolutely loved the area and would return. The quirkiness of the hotel was reminiscent of an arts and crafts style house I inhabited in my 20’s. We would return. Easy access to transportation and very safe neighborhood even during early morning and night.

Really had awesome experience stay at Halloween weekend here.
Great location , walking distance to all the attractions 8 minute walk to Chelsea market and also have a lot of Chaming Taverns and Cafés around the guest house .
It’s not just a hotel home . It’s a place where has its own character and unique, personality, it’s not just regular hotel’s room
Front desk manager Vincent who is very friendly and also has a very net and interesting charms. I feel like I was staying at the castle where is at the heart of Greenwich Village, Manhattan NYC .
It is not just staying at the hotel room . It felt like we belonging to the village when we stayed here.
Outstanding !!!
We will definitely stay here again and agin

Excellent value for money, especially in this location. A few things could be improved, e.g. replacing some of the old rickety furniture, tidying up the garden patio area, but if this place was perfect it would be well out of my price range! Loved having such a well-equipped kitchen, considering that eating out in New York is pricey it was great to be able to eat in the room. Toiletries, hairdryer, room cleaning, and general friendliness of the staff were all fantastic.

3 night stay during September. Website great. Arrival communication great. The Tabor Room is spacious and well appointed. Floor was dirty. Beds creaked terribly every time you roll over but mattress and linens were fine. Entryway was filthy. Liked the private entrance but the stairs are narrow and steep so small suitcases are better. Have to pay for all nights upon arrival so we couldn't have changed hotels if we wanted to. The location is wonderful if you want to feel like a "local". Took in River Hudson Park, 9-11 Museum, Washington Square, Comedy Underground. Easy access to subway. No one around for Saturday checkout. Likely to stay here again because of the 2 twin beds.

Buyer Beware, I made a booking at 10PM on a weekday night as I was in the city and did not want to travel home, however I was not made aware that check in is no later than 3PM. This hotel allowed me to make the 10PM booking knowing I could not check in. When I arrived around 1AM, the doors were locked. They have yet to refund my money and said I was a no show, HOWEVER I was there and could not get in!!!!!! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!! This is a scam and they will just take your money!

Excellent five day stay at Incentra, definitely recommend for those looking for boutique hotel experience. Service was great, room was very cute, clean and well appointed. Would be happy to return to Incentra on my next trip to NYC, will recommend to work colleagues as the hotel is quite close to our office. A+++ thank you again!

I really enjoyed the property, it is a great location and the rooms are well appointed. A couple of things to be aware of. There are no elevators so if you have any kind of mobility issues steer clear. Also the building has no fire escape which should be required.

My boyfriend and I came for the weekend. We've been to NYC several times and wanted to stay somewhere less hectic and touristy and this place met our expectations. Checking in and out of the hotel was easy, the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and quaint with interesting personal touches throughout. The location can't be beat. Great restaurants on every corner. Great value and location; would stay again.

So fun to stay here on 8th and Jane Street in the West village. The rooms are super cute, we stayed in the Washington room which has a loft and my teenage son really loved that. They have coffee pot, and hot water kettle, forks and knives, a small sink, and small refrigerator which was very cold! Rent a bikes one block away. A tiny lovely park Jane Garden, across the street. Lots of places to eat and grab fruit and snacks.
The place was built around 1840 and it was originally created to be a guest house. Across from it was just Fields! Can you imagine!!

Our stay at the Incentra Village Guest House was disappointing in their responsiveness to say the least, and absolutely disgusting in terms of cleanliness and sanitary conditions. A synopsis is below with photos and video attached.
Sanitary conditions: 0/10
Responsiveness: 1/10
Location: 8/10
To begin, it was very difficult to contact anyone for information or assistance. Leading up to our trip over the long Memorial Day weekend, I wanted to make sure we could receive a late check-in. I tried calling, leaving multiple messages, and emailing without hearing anything in return for days. Finally the day before our trip I received a short text to the effect of “that’s fine”. Ok, at this point I’m at least happy to know.
We get to the guest house between 9 and 10pm. At first everything seems fine and quaint; a bit dusty, but we weren’t looking for a 5 star hotel and we enjoy quirk over luxury, so we were initially happy to have found this place. We quickly drop off our things, head out for dinner, and fall asleep immediately after getting back - but not for very long. We were in a garden-facing room - they called it “garden-view” but we could only see the top of the mechanicals on the nextdoor building - and one of those mechanicals was making a super loud, ungodly screeching sound that would kick on for roughly 5 to 10 minutes at a time (video). We shut the window - which had been held open by a kitchen knife ??? (pictured) - but the sound was impossible to ignore even with earplugs. We managed to get through the night and planned to talk to someone about it in the morning.
The next morning, my wife went to shower and was disgusted by the large patches of dark mold all over the bottom of the shower curtain (pictured). To make it worse, the curtain was too long for the shower and she was unable to avoid stepping on it. The water running over the moldy shower curtain caused a brown foamy patch to form in the tub (pictured). I called the number given to me to reach the front desk “24/7”; no answer. I called multiple times, left messages and texts. We hoped to get a room change for the remainder of the weekend to avoid the sound outside, and to bring the shower curtain to their attention.
However, as we were finishing getting ready for the day, we noticed a few small thick curly hairs all over the bed spread (pictured). Upon further inspection my wife noticed a heavy patch of foundation makeup, which was not hers, on the pillowcase (pictured). In the next instant we spotted a dried contact lens (pictured) stuck to the bedspread beside yet another hair. This was the end for us; we packed our bags and left, gagging. This was beyond uncleanliness and far into unsanitary conditions, which is bad enough, but all the more worrying in the days of post-COVID.
We had to scramble to find another place to stay last minute for the holiday weekend. A full 3 hours later we finally received a text saying “you can move to the main room on your floor”. We let them know we were not returning and will be contacting them for a refund when we returned home from our vacation. No word on that yet; I’ll update this review with the outcome.

This is a cosy place. Historic. Very gay friendly. Ok, friendly in general. Kind of a local secret. Informal. Not cookie cutter.

Charming little hotel. Very no frills but definitely feels like old west village. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Some of the rooms are REALLY hot in the winter. They could also do with better quality sheets and pillows. A small investment would go a long way.
