Since 1978, this festival has played a major role in the world of American and Latin American jazz, both in terms of the technical level and the musical qualities of the invited artists. In 2020, more than 200 musicians and groups (Cuban stars such as Alain Perez or Los Van Van as well as big names from abroad) gave some 25 concerts over six days, for thousands of people as well as for smaller audiences in restaurants or bars.
