The Iglesia de Jesús de Miramar is quite simply the largest church in Cuba! Its proportions are monumental. Work began in 1948 and was completed in 1953. The mahogany organs - 5,000 pipes, 73 registers, 3 consoles, 4 manuals - were added in 1956. At the back of the church is a 1.80 m-high Carrara marble imitation of the grotto at Lourdes. The frescoes depicting Saint Anne are also quite modern and original.
