The Palacio de Convenciones was built for the 6th Conference of the Non-Aligned Countries (September 1979), when Fidel Castro was the president of this movement, before passing the torch to Indira Gandhi. With an auditorium that seats 1,700, this palace is one of the most modern of its kind in Latin America. The complex covers an area of 60,000 square meters and has 11 halls of different sizes, with modern equipment and an exhibition pavilion of 20,000 square meters. Monumental.
