Built around 1780 for Don Matteo Pedroso, descendant of one of the oldest families in Cuba and mayor of Havana, the old Pedroso Palace is one of the largest, oldest and best preserved buildings in the city. The portal is a wonderful example of the first period of Cuban Baroque, the balcony, 32 m long, is in Moorish style. It became the Palace of Craftsmanship in the 20th century, and is a must-see place for souvenir shopping, whether for crafts, CDs, books, etc.
