Yellow Haven is undoubtedly one of the best addresses in Kampala. With an excellent value for money given its position on the shores of Lake Victoria, this haven of peace has clean, pleasant and original rooms. You can let off steam during the day, as the Yellow Haven organizes many activities (cycling; hiking; visiting the capital; traditional Ugandan cooking classes...), then relax in the early evening by the pool and sauna or by indulging in a massage. A warm welcome awaits you.

It's absolutely worth it! The view is impeccable, quite something one wouldn't expect to find in Bunga. The cost of it all is also considerably friendly, given all you're getting. It feels almost secluded from the rest of the world because the area is perfectly tranquil, in spite of not being in an isolated location. The on-site restaurant, The Snug, is very affordable and well stocked (more so with alcohol). The rooms are suited to accommodate couples and families, so bring everyone along. Very unconventionally, you have amenities perfectly suited to DIY all your all meals, so, to cut costs, feel free to come with your own food for meal prep! Lots of activities are available on call from the lodge, so there's plenty for everyone to embark on. If not to stay, the pool (for a fee) and restaurant are open to outsiders. However, the parking situation is not for the faint of heart. And it is not your traditional 'hotel' in that room service comes with an extra charge. Some pictures have a beach or sandpit in view, but years of rising water levels have annexed that. Yet, if I could find a holiday long enough, I would definitely stop by all over again, so you definitely should before the lake swallows it all up

We had a wonderful stay at Yellow Haven, hosting a project team from a variety of African and European countries. The space is quiet and has lots of little spaces around to meet or relax. The staff are all excellent, friendly and very accommodating. The conference room is very nice and perfect for a small group of 15-20 people. Even the cat is cool. I would highly recommend!
