The Tick Hotel offers 120 basic but clean rooms, offering good value for money. Located in the popular Kawempe district on the northern outskirts of Kampala, it's a convenient option for those arriving from the northern parks, avoiding the hustle and bustle of the capital. You'll find an interesting business clientele, with plenty to talk about. The welcome is pleasant, the breakfast copious, and the pool relaxing. One drawback, however: the busy Bombo Avenue, Kampala's main thoroughfare, can be heard from the rooms.
