2024
Established in 2004, the National Forestry Authority (NFA), a government agency responsible for the sustainable management of the national forest reserves, is less well known to travellers than the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA). However, you may need to contact it to organise your stay in one of its (modest) ecotourism centres (Mpanga, Mabira...) or your activities (such as chimpanzee tracking in Kalinzu Forest).
