CENTRE-VILLE

A walk in the hypercentre allows you to smell the (polluted...) air of the city. Old Kampala will offer you a plunge into the colourful and noisy hustle and bustle of the heart of the capital. The Owino market, the pretty Aga Khan Mosque and the Grand Mosque are located in an area that is easily covered on foot. The hills of Nakasero and Kololo are much more peaceful. Except for a few hotel facades, the Independence Monument and, if anything, the front of the parliament, these two districts are not particularly distinguished by the architectural beauty of their buildings.
