Hotel within walking distance of the French Quarter, featuring a French brasserie, a bar and a courtyard that serves as a private oasis

Former warehouses in a 19th-century building have been completely renovated to house The Eliza Jane's 196 rooms and suites. The design, by the renowned New York firm Stonehill Taylor, is worthy of a decorating magazine. From the rooms to the common areas, everything is trendy and thoughtful. The hotel also houses a French brasserie, a bar, a gym and a beautiful courtyard that serves as a private oasis. A very nice address on Magazine Street, a stone's throw from the French Quarter.

We spent three wonderful nights here in room 453, The Editor's Suite. The room is quite spacious. The pictures and description on the website are pretty much spot on. Just some quick points. The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean for the msot part. The TV in the sitting area will not stay turned off. It just keeps coming back on. The shower door handle was broken and put back in place. Both shower heads do not work at the same time. However, the wet room is pretty cool. DO NOT step out of there, with wet feet, onto the tile floor. It is SLIPPERY. Put a towel down. Like, really. There is plenty of hot water and the tub is big enough for two. ???? The view is onto the street in front of the hotel. The toilet paper is soooo thin. Seemed a bit petty to skimp on that. We were there three days and never asked for housekeeping, but getting them to part with a couple extra towels was funny. Looked at us like we were going to keep them. She gave them up though, reluctantly.

The location really is perfect. Just on the edge of the French Quarter, it was quiet and tucked away, but a very short walk to the grit that is New Orleans. Some nice seating out front and easy access for Uber service. There is a nice steakhouse right across the street, where there is also some ongoing construction. Lobby, bar, and courtyard are swanky with nooks and crannies to hang out in and take selfies. ???? Very Instagrammable hotel. Some live music in the "lobby" was nice and the concierge was friendly and willing to help. They offer bikes to get around the city that were included in our room rate. They held our luggage as we were early and again when we wanted to go out for brunch after we checked out. Ice machine was out order on the fourth floor. There is a mini fridge, and safe but no microwave.

They were very accomidating.

I'm not sure I'd ever want to stay anywhere else in New Orleans. The location is amazing and the hotel is so nice. Everyone that stayed elsewhere in my conference was jealous.

The was such a cool place to stay! I really enjoyed the cocktail hour at the bar each night, the staff were amazing, and the location was right in the heart of activities and good food. Comfy beds and clean rooms and public areas.

This is a beautiful hotel with amazing staff and so many services for guests. The room that we had was gorgeous. We did stay in a room on Magazine St which can get loud at night because of its location. But its location is also one of the best things about this hotel. It is walking distance from nearly everything you would want to visit. It is about 15 minutes walking from Bourbon Street and also the French Quarter. The Market place is closer to around 20 minutes but still an easy walk.
