Made us wait until 4 pm to access our room on check in.
Charged us hundreds in extra fees when we finally did check in.
Amenities that were supposed to be covered by extra fees would have cost us probably $50 max if we just got them on our own.
Told them we were getting woken up every morning at 4 am by dump trucks and was told nothing they could do.
Internet was out for several hours without any explanation.

I will start by saying the lobby is clean and nice-although Very Dark. I stayed in room 147. This room is DIRECTLY next to the employee hall/kitchen. ALL DAY you just hear Bang after Bang after Bang. Sleep? Haha good luck. The wall next to my bed has huge craters of peeling paint. The TV didn’t work for 2 straight days. Room is very dim with little light. I would absolutely never stay here again.

Let me first start by saying that we have stayed at The Eliza Jane Unbound Collection a few times before and it was lovely. We love Hyatts. It is an exquisite hotel and it is in a great location. Sadly, this time, the weekend of our wedding (4/6/24) we were very displeased with the customer service and the bridal suite that we stayed in. Let me be clear, we were not having our wedding there. However, we were having our pictures there. In addition, our bridal and groom parties would be getting ready the morning of. I want to start with positives. First, Tyler needs a raise. He was the best part of this hotel. He greeted you at the door and helped us carry all of our things to our room. He was warm, friendly and helped anyway he could. Second, the manager at The Couvant who gave us complimentary champagne on our first dinner at the hotel. Last, a woman at the front desk. I cannot remember her first name but it started with an M. She sent up complimentary champagne as well. Also, Ayana who I had been in touch with prior to our arrival had greeted us with a beautiful welcome bag. We thank you all. Now to what we were upset about. I was told that our welcome bags would be distributed to all of our guests the day they arrived. This was not the case. The people at the front desk were extremely rude and not just to me but our guests as well the whole time we were there. They assured me they were distributing our bags but every time I asked a guest, they never got it and we were almost charged for this small gesture. The hotel needs a lesson in customer service. They were unpleasant and unwilling to do anything to assist us during the most important weekend of our lives. Our room was never cleaned the day of our wedding, nor was our best mans room. There was a huge wine stain on the carpet of our bridal suite for all to see that must have been there forever. Very disappointing for an expensive room that we were paying for. They never brought us extra hand towels and told us they were out of bar soap. The day of our wedding, we were busy getting ready. The hotel was unwilling to send up cups or cutlery to us. It would have been really helpful if they did that for us. Last but not least, the day we left, we had a lot to carry down and we were also told there was no one to help us. Overall, the experience was very unpleasant, which is so sad because it was the weekend of our wedding. That will be the last time we stay there.

Fantastisch hotel in hartje New Orleans.

We spent three wonderful nights here in room 453, The Editor's Suite. The room is quite spacious. The pictures and description on the website are pretty much spot on. Just some quick points. The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean for the msot part. The TV in the sitting area will not stay turned off. It just keeps coming back on. The shower door handle was broken and put back in place. Both shower heads do not work at the same time. However, the wet room is pretty cool. DO NOT step out of there, with wet feet, onto the tile floor. It is SLIPPERY. Put a towel down. Like, really. There is plenty of hot water and the tub is big enough for two. ???? The view is onto the street in front of the hotel. The toilet paper is soooo thin. Seemed a bit petty to skimp on that. We were there three days and never asked for housekeeping, but getting them to part with a couple extra towels was funny. Looked at us like we were going to keep them. She gave them up though, reluctantly.

The location really is perfect. Just on the edge of the French Quarter, it was quiet and tucked away, but a very short walk to the grit that is New Orleans. Some nice seating out front and easy access for Uber service. There is a nice steakhouse right across the street, where there is also some ongoing construction. Lobby, bar, and courtyard are swanky with nooks and crannies to hang out in and take selfies. ???? Very Instagrammable hotel. Some live music in the "lobby" was nice and the concierge was friendly and willing to help. They offer bikes to get around the city that were included in our room rate. They held our luggage as we were early and again when we wanted to go out for brunch after we checked out. Ice machine was out order on the fourth floor. There is a mini fridge, and safe but no microwave.

They were very accomidating.

I'm not sure I'd ever want to stay anywhere else in New Orleans. The location is amazing and the hotel is so nice. Everyone that stayed elsewhere in my conference was jealous.

The was such a cool place to stay! I really enjoyed the cocktail hour at the bar each night, the staff were amazing, and the location was right in the heart of activities and good food. Comfy beds and clean rooms and public areas.

This is a beautiful hotel with amazing staff and so many services for guests. The room that we had was gorgeous. We did stay in a room on Magazine St which can get loud at night because of its location. But its location is also one of the best things about this hotel. It is walking distance from nearly everything you would want to visit. It is about 15 minutes walking from Bourbon Street and also the French Quarter. The Market place is closer to around 20 minutes but still an easy walk.

OMG!!! Just awesome!! The rooms are picturesque and decorated so beautifully. The little details all over this hotel are impressive. Perfect location in the city to get to anywhere. The drinks are devine and the bartender serving them, Neil, made them specific to my taste. I will stay here again, hopefully soon.

Wow… all I can say for this hotel. This has been a horrible stay. The first room I was in had a leaking sink so they moved me to a smaller room. Then the bar service was awful the first day. Resturant food was horrible. Hairdryer would not turn off. The bathroom vent is full of mold and dust. Disgusting. Rooms have horrible temperature control. Room service waited over 40min for just a plate of fries and had to cancel it because it was going to take up to another hour. Totally unacceptable. This place should be ashamed of itself. I will never stay here again, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very nice atmosphere in the lobby! Lots of natural lights, nice interior, room is average! Like the setup of the room, couch and little table separate from the room.

This hotel is beautiful! Location is good, close to downtown and transit. The attached restaurant Couvant is also really nice.

Beautiful boutique and stylish hotel. Smells like flowers as soon as you walk in. Has an amazing modern French decor. Customer service is amazing and the food at the Couvant restaurant is exceptional.

My only recommendation is to add brighter lighting to the rooms. It does have a romantic feel but doesn’t help if you’re working from the room.

Terrible customer service. I booked online for a government rate for a conference since I liked the style/location. The "total cost" in the reservation confirmation did not include a destination fee, but a tiny disclaimer at the bottom said it would apply. I called both the hotel and Hyatt reservations to confirm, and explain that the federal government would not reimburse this and requested to have it waived. Neither the hotel nor the reservations agent could do this and they transferred me to a manager. After waiting 35min on hold, I gave up and cancelled my reservation. The destination fee is a scam, and it should not be this difficult to have it waived. I'll stay elsewhere.

This was one of the cutest hotels I’ve ever stayed at!! So beautifully designed, so clean (my room was spotless, and kept that way the whole week I stayed), and the service was excellent. The location is so central, I was staying as a solo woman and always felt super safe walking back at night, there was either a key card entry required for later or someone working the front desk most regular hours. It was also SO QUIET!! It’s hard to have central and safe and quiet.
My only negative would be that breakfast wasn’t included and it was pretty pricey at the little restaurant at the hotel. Delicious breakfast and great service, just not cheap! Would have been nice to have a little discount if you charge it to your room or something. Overall though, cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Great hotel. The minute you step in, you feel posh and classy. Everything done really well. The restoration of the old building is phenomenal. You have the history and modern amenities at the same time.
Rooms are not huge but very comfortable and luxurious.
Excellent bar and snacks.
Parking is not cheap at $50. Location is excellent. Highly recommended
