The hotel is very well placed, one block from Mississippi. Some rooms can be seen on the river. It is very practical if you decided to discover everything on foot. In addition to the beautiful, rather large rooms, its great advantage is its lovely swimming pool in the courtyard of the hotel, whose arcades and green plants offer a very romantic decor.

I was traveling for business and was so grateful to Cynthia for providing me an early check-in with late notice. The windowless room was quiet and a perfect respite from a busy conference. The room was clean and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. SO glad I stayed with Bienville, and not at the Crown... A lot of conference goers were severely disappointed with their accommodations.

We enjoyed our stay at Bienville House so much! Every employee we came in contact with was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Adrience and Cynthia always greeted us with a smile and a “Welcome back” and went above and beyond to meet our needs. The on-site valet parking was one of our main reasons for choosing Bienville House and it did not disappoint. The location was also one of our deciding factors and it was perfect for us. It’s on the outer edge of the French Quarter but a very easy walk to everything in the Quarter without the noise. We especially enjoyed being close to the waterfront and Jackson Square. We stayed in one of the Sundeck rooms which was very charming and comfortable. We didn’t get to use the sun deck because of the weather but it would be a great place to enjoy your morning coffee. Overall, we will definitely stay at Bienville House again when we return to NOLA.

Room 403 water pressure is the worst ever... Also, this doesn't seem to have been one of the rooms renovated in the last few years... Decor is very dated, and noisy even while on the top floor.

Doing others the favor of a real review.
This hotel is nice, it's in a good location and the staff was friendly and lovely through every single interaction.
Our issue was with the room- we upgraded to a balcony which unfortunately is on the back side of the building, closest to a train track that has trains running all night and blowing their horns EXTREMELY loudly (I heard it through my earplugs when it woke me up). The room itself had a broken thermostat, we requested maintenance who did come to check it and it was better for one night and then went back to not working. We learned that the entire building hasn't been upgraded and the whole thing has to be set to cool or hot.. we were so miserable not being able to move it below 70 all trip.
Our bed also had the fire alarm inconveniently placed directly above the bed and it blinked EVERY 15 seconds. It was very bright, distracting and hard to sleep. The pillows are terrible.
If you have no issues sleeping, perhaps this is a good place, it was not up to our liking. I did love the bathroom though- they have the older counters with space for all my toiletries!
I wont be returning here unfortunately. After multiple trips to NOLA, the nicest hotels are in the CBD, much newer with actual comfortable rooms!
