The hotel is very well placed, one block from Mississippi. Some rooms can be seen on the river. It is very practical if you decided to discover everything on foot. In addition to the beautiful, rather large rooms, its great advantage is its lovely swimming pool in the courtyard of the hotel, whose arcades and green plants offer a very romantic decor.

This hotel is nice, it's in a good location and the staff was friendly and lovely through every single interaction.
Our issue was with the room- we upgraded to a balcony which unfortunately is on the back side of the building, closest to a train track that has trains running all night and blowing their horns EXTREMELY loudly (I heard it through my earplugs when it woke me up). The room itself had a broken thermostat, we requested maintenance who did come to check it and it was better for one night and then went back to not working. We learned that the entire building hasn't been upgraded and the whole thing has to be set to cool or hot.. we were so miserable not being able to move it below 70 all trip.
Our bed also had the fire alarm inconveniently placed directly above the bed and it blinked EVERY 15 seconds. It was very bright, distracting and hard to sleep. The pillows are terrible.
If you have no issues sleeping, perhaps this is a good place, it was not up to our liking. I did love the bathroom though- they have the older counters with space for all my toiletries!
I wont be returning here unfortunately. After multiple trips to NOLA, the nicest hotels are in the CBD, much newer with actual comfortable rooms!
