Reasonably priced hotel with large, comfortable rooms, some with a view of the street from the balcony.

Located on a quieter street in the French Quarter, this hotel is less than a ten-minute walk to all points of interest. The rooms are large and comfortable, but the decor is more in the tones of large, inexpensive hotel chains. Some have balconies overlooking the street or the lovely courtyard with an in-ground pool and deck chairs. The hotel also has a gym open 24 hours a day and a restaurant-bar, the Bistreaux, located on the first floor. A good address with rather reasonable prices for the location.

A bit of a vintage hotel but the television and phone didn't work. Called it in and nobody came to the room till the next day which made it rough when traveling with kids. I was placed in another room However I had a preference for a balcony and it didn't have one. Staff was friendly though

Otherwise sketchy "cleanish" rooms. New towels and soap were rare.

Had to switch three times to get opening windows to mitigate musty smells. Crungy corners in room we accepted.

Staff was very argumentative about room keys. We needed 15+ over three days. With one of two elevators out that's a lot of time wasted going back to desk. Technology is so old they claimed room card can't work if kept near phone or credit cards (have kept hotel key cards in wallet for years with no issues). So we kept room keys in separate pockets from all else as rudely instructed - no improvement.

Desk said they would have door lock checked. No improvement. When checking out, as leaving, room cleaning staff was nearby and mentioned they'd been having trouble with our room door not opening.

Wi-Fi was just strong enough to say we were connected but never strong enough to move any data. Desk had no solutions.

Dank rooms, pass keys that don't work, useless wifi and ride desk staff.

The location was great for the price! Loved the outdoor area with the pool as well.

DO NOT STAY HERE. In a city with countless options, spend your hard earned money with a business that actually cares. There is zero southern hospitality here. I had 5 days left in New Orleans and had to MOVE HOTELS due to all issues. They stole my money, and treated me horribly.

Yes. I have video proof of everything including the insane conversation I had with their unbelievably unprofessional and confrontational management.

Dirty rooms. Incredibly unprofessional and rude hotel staff. Scheduled construction with ZERO warning to guests that it would disrupt your sleep. It’s New Orleans, someone drilling through concrete above your head after a night in the French Quarter is less than desirable.

Room - old AC, old rooms, old dirty carpets, no bathtub drain stopper, TV did not work, sheets are cheap material, and my coffee maker was missing a piece. Lock was broken and loose. No hand towels. No hand soap.

Cleanliness - same DEAD BUG was on my wall, for 3 days. I actually checked out and then checked back in and ended up in the same room, with the same dead bug smooshed on the wall. No backup TP rolls.

Elevator - Only one works, and it’s terrifying. The other is out of service. Not surprising when you see the conditions.

Front Desk - Disorganized, and always something wrong. I waited in the lobby to check in for 30 mins while the system was down. There were like 4 snacks total in the little hotel store thing and that transaction system was also down.

I called down at 9am asking about how long to expect the heavy construction creating an audible assault on my eardrums, the front desk flipped out and said I’m “the ONLY ONE COMPLAINING” and hung up on me. After heading to the front desk to discuss my options with management - the manager also flipped out on me and told me basically it wasn’t her fault, I better not expect a discount (I didn’t), I should probably find another hotel bc they would be doing the SCHEDULED work ALL WEEK and then they SPITEFULLY KEPT MY INCIDENTAL DEPOSIT with no warning assuming bc I checked out 30 mins late - due to being downstairs TRYING to deal with the unprofessional management staff for nearly half an hour…deciding if I should stay or not.

Some of these rooms must be nice and some of these rooms need some serious, tender, loving care.

Just now someone sneezed twice and it sounded like they were inside of my room and then I listened to their entire conversation. The walls are more thin than I thought they were. One of the nights this same room had the alarm blaring for about one hour. I called down to the desk to let them know… the phone rang and rang, but no one ever answered.

Every single time I took a shower, the bathtub completely filled with water and then it slowly drain out over five minutes after the shower was complete.

Management: Visible black mold in the bathroom, other reviews have mentioned this. Black mold needs to be taken care of or you will have a severe issue on your hands with expensive major construction required.

I did not have a balcony, my windows did not open, and I had the view of a dirty alleyway. It would’ve been nice if I’d been offered a nicer room upon check in as I don’t think the hotel was anywhere near capacity.

The icemaker on every floor was broken and they were “working on it”.

I never knew if my trash cans would have liners because sometimes they did and somedays they didn’t.

Two places in the ceiling in the bathroom looked really sketchy, and I felt like someone was either recording me with a camera or someone was about to climb down through the ceiling.

Toilet worried me sometimes, but did consistently flush. It would fill almost to the point of overflow and then slowly sink out.

Couldn’t get my air conditioning to work on day two, managed to jiggle it just right to get it working on day three.

The door to room 313 did not properly shut and it was slightly ajar when I arrived to the hotel. Pushing my hotel door open without using the key was very creepy as a first impression. I made sure that it was closed, Everytime I came and left.

A positive is that my bed was beautifully made every evening when I arrived back to my room.

There is always a large container of ice water in the lobby which I made use of, and was thankful for.

The staff were always polite and kind to me. They allow to store your bags before and after checkout which was very appreciated.

I would not stay here if I ever returned to NOLA.
