Site that offers a visit with a translation in French to Avery Island.
It's on this unique site that Tabasco has been made since 1868. You can combine a captivating tour of the factory, which explains the whole process of making the coveted hot pepper sauce, with a visit to the museum, which collects numerous objects relating to the early days of the legendary company, and then to the store, from which you certainly won't leave empty-handed. Finally, in the restaurant, you can try a crayfish étouffée or a gumbo, spiced up with... Tabasco, of course. What an experience!

A nicely designed and defined tour, along with museum exhibits, actual process, gift shop, restaurant and a side visit through the island’s jungle garden.
A wonderful opportunity.
The grounds are well worth exploring. You can drive the whole thing or get some real hiking if you prefer. Unfortunately, the mosquitoes were out to kill the day we visited. I recommend bug spray.
It is a self guided tour with 8 stations.
I I joyed the bottling portion of the tour the best.
The restaurant and gift shop were very nice as well.
We were given a senior citizen discount and complimentary coffee after our lunch.
Then off to Jungle Gardens which is included in your ticket price. Garden is a drive thru adventure with map to follow and pull overs to exit vehicle, explore and take pictures. Bring bug spray if you plan to get out of vehicle and walk around.
Mosquitoes were an issue.
