Burmese cuisine is delicate, rich in spices of all kinds. You'll find it in rice noodles, ginger salad, curried pork, beef with tofu and samosas. Discover them on Clement Street in Richmond, an increasingly gourmet neighborhood, as well as in the East Bay (in Alameda and Oakland). Don't miss the tea leaf salad, a subtle, gourmet blend of green tea, crunchy peanuts, crispy beans, sesame seeds, garlic and sautéed shrimp.

First time having Burmese food, very very good. Went with my wife for lunch, had a lovely time. The staff was warm, polite and helpful. The food was really delicious. The samosas came with a fresh bright sauce, the coconut rice was creamy and flavorful , and we had some noodles with a curry sauce which was something else, also great. My only regret is that I could not try other stuff in the menu that also looked delicious. Next time in San Francisco we are coming again for sure.

Unique flavor profile! Highly recommend the mint-chicken, coconut rice and tea leave salad. Queue can be long at times.

The hype surrounding this place didn't match up to the experience. While the ambience was pleasant, the only highlight was the chef's preparation of the Tea Leaf Salad. However, the rest of the dishes fell short.

The Platha and Dip felt overpriced, with a meager portion of sauce provided. Even requesting extra sauce incurred an unreasonable charge. The Fire Cracker Cauliflower was mediocre, and the Tofu Eggplant was passable at best.

The only saving grace was that the kids enjoyed the Nan Pia Dok. Overall, it's not a place I'd recommend to friends based on the overhyped expectations versus the actual experience.

I used to love this place when I was living in SF a few years ago. Went in person multiple times! I ordered delivery last night and was extremely disappointed at the taste and quality of the food. We got the Okra Tofu and the Mint chicken, and the Plata with the curry sauce. Each dish was disappointing. Just poorly executed and carelessly made. Not sure what happened over the years.
