We go there to brunch on French toast, eggs Benedict and black pudding (rather rare in California). Housed in a former architect's studio, this farm-to-table American comfort food restaurant serves organic, local fare in a post-industrial atmosphere beloved of the Potrero Hill and Dogpatch Boulders neighborhoods. Popular with locals, expect long lines, especially on weekends. The house also organizes dinners at local wineries - it's worth a try! Takeaway service.

The service alone soured my visit so that I won't come back here again. We arrived at 8:30 am on a weekday and were seated right away, but they were rushing us out of the door by 9:30 am. The waitress even took my plate away without asking if I was done! If they'd asked us to leave because of a line, of course we would have left. But there wasn't a line and they didn't ask us to leave, so I don't understand why they were passive aggressively shooing us out before I could finish my meal.
There's quite literally 2 inches of space between the 2-person tables so it felt like my friend and I were right on top of the table next to us. This was uncomfortable and I could tell the people next to us felt the same way.
The prices have increased and the portions are smaller. I was mildly annoyed when they charged me $1 for a small side of oat milk to go with my $5 drip coffee. The potatoes aren't as crispy as I remember. The food was serviceable but not good enough to justify the other issues I mentioned.
Plow is overhyped and definitely not worth waiting in that long line on the weekend.
