Delicious food and service.

In the realm of sushi boat / conveyer belt restaurants, Hikari is unique in that you your custom ordered dishes are delivered directly to you via mini express trains. If your dish is too big for the train, then a robot brings it to you. Hikari never gets old for me, I go several times a month, almost always before a movie at the Kabuki. And the food never lets me down. Sushi, gyoza, katsu, all made well and good quality.

My one suggestion for the restaurant to take it to the next level is: where they have picture frames of Japanese scenery, they should replace with video screens playing footage from a moving bullet train.

Amazing, simply take a seat, order on the device, and your food comes to you on a train in a matter of minutes.

This is just phenomenal. We live out of state, but still on the coast. I can no longer eat sushi at home anymore. This place has set the bar far too high.

It’s an okay atmosphere with average sushi. Friendly and helpful staff :)

Not the best. Decent but not good

We came here with low expectations, just trying to get affordable sushi in the area, but Hikari beat any of our expectations with the quality of the fish they served. For how much you are paying to eat, you get high quality sushi and food.

Best sushi in SF.

Super kid friendly. Sushi comes out on a train. Also a robot that serves some of the dishes. And the sushi is actually pretty good so not just a gimmick.

My food came out on a bullet train! It was great. I also ordered the jelly sake, and it was terrible! It's like a carbonated jello shot in a can, but it was quite entertaining.

Very cool sushi restaurant with conveyor belts that shoot the food out to you instead of revolving around. This makes the sushi fresh because it is made to order and delivered soon after.

The monorail that delivers small plates and the robot that brings larger plates is a fun gimmick. It always gets the kids excited. Food shows up quickly, is tasty, and the price is OK. So, overall, a great place when a sushi craving kicks in. There even is a pretty nice selection of desserts ... or you can always pop across the street for the best Japanese grocery store in town and pick up more snacks for the way home.

The only downside with the fully automated service experience is that you can't easily special order anything. Even just asking for more pickled ginger is impossible to do when the electronic ordering tablet

Say what you will about these places but I enjoy the concept. It's no frills, on your own time and decision and the value/quality meets expectations.

I appreciate how efficient it is especially when I have cravings and know what I want. I can lounge and spend time or have a tasty and fast lunch if I'm shopping in the area.

Today I personally ordered the ebi fry curry and horse mackerel nigiri. It was busy so that meant lots of different things were getting ordered. I've been here before where the food felt a bit cold but my fish was the right temperature, firm and not overly fishy.

The ebi fry curry could have had another piece but it fulfilled my craving. All the booths were taken so we sat at the wall section. The host was able to combine me and my partners bills even though we ordered on separate screens so that was nice. We are in and out in about 30 mins which was pretty awesome.

For my food and an additional rainbow roll and salmon sashimi with tip it rounded to about $70.

Great food. Prepared timely and presented to table hot. Very clean establishment. I will patronize it again.

Extensive menu of sushi, fusion rolls, as well as other Japanese staples.

The sushi is nothing special, besides being pretty expensive, but we come here again and again for the experience. My 9 year old son loves this place and will easily put down $75+ in salmon ????. He loves ordering on the tablets and having everything delivered by the trains.

Delicious sushi, ramen, and chicken teriyaki, delivered in a fun format. Sushi comes by bullet train and teriyaki comes by robot. Desserts are fresh and delicious and easy to share.

Best salmon and otoro nigiri in the world

Went to the restaurant with my family and found the sushi’s to be way over priced. Below average seafood quality as well. Do not recommend

They dropped 5 bowls of miso soup on two of our pants. Their service (clearing tables, refilling water) is not very good.

The fish was good overall but their chefs don’t know how to make sushi rice if you particularly care about that kind of thing.
