The Pescatore Trattoria at Hotel Zoe, a terrace café on Fisherman's Wharf, is very good. We recommend it for the house specialty, Italian-Californian cioppino, a soup of crabs, clams, shrimp, scallops, squid, mussels and fish, then tossed with fresh tomatoes in a white wine sauce. But you can also opt for fried calamari with shrimp ravioli, chicken fettuccine or spaghetti bolognese. For dessert, tiramisu also works wonders.

3stars: We wanted so bad for this to be our neighborhood spot, we’ve been here 5 times since the original great experience and each time has made the next less likely… from not remembering our faces, to treating us like tourists/guests at the hotel, we wanted a welcoming environment, somewhere to eat in the neighborhood… we were willing to pay the premium if the food was good and the experience stayed worth the cost… the atmosphere does not meet the $37 price point for the Seafood Linguini… and how does the brunch seafood linguini have more in it (scallops) and yet the dinner Linguini is 40% more expensive… pricing out locals who work during the day I guess…. Asked to add pesto to the shrimp pizza, they charged me $3 and then didn’t put red sauce on the pizza…. What am I supposed to do?? Return the pizza?? I’m sorry your costs are high, but the hotel doesn’t seem to be struggling and it appears you are just price gauging customers. 6 staff on duty for the dinner shift (guessing there is a dishwasher in the back), so overhead appears to be rather low…
Chicken Parmigiana, sauce full of flavor, mouth watering and fresh hot. Every bite was delicious. Salmon cooked down with shrimp in sauce was plump and melted into the pasta. I remember the music being fun. Yum!
