The apotheosis of an Italian deli. They also make incredible salami, and it’s inexpensive if you buy in store.

A classic Italian deli. The board didn't list the ingredients exactly so be specific. Liked their sausage and peppers cooked in wine. Loved the rosemary roll. I'll go back and try the Chicken Parm. Service was great, nice guys. They shared some prosciutto which was delicious. Great atmosphere. Outside tables to eat at.

IMHO, Molinari makes the best high production domestic deli meats you can get, and you can get them in many delicatessens and grocery stores all around the bay area (and I think across the US). This place is crowded so I didn't have time to get a sandwich but they have great imported products too.

Queuing for sandwiches takes forever and it’s poorly run and it’s even worse if the line is out the door. We waited over an hour and a half to order. Be sure to go in first and grab a ticket before waiting in line if it’s out the door. Italian combo sandwich was the same as anywhere else and they ran out of focaccia for the Luciano special but it still tasted good. Would only go back if it wasn’t busy.

Service and patrons were excellent, and the atmosphere truly great, but maybe it's me but my sandwich was a bit bland, I had a meatball sandwich and renzo, my friend had the basil turkey sandwich and it was delicious. Parking not so good, take someone with you and U can drop them off 2 place or pickup order. Outside of that I will be going back.

What a poor way of organizing your business. No one tells you to get a number. We stood there in line for 30 minutes only to find out we needed to get a number to be put into the queue. So we ended up being behind a ton of other people waiting behind us. This was our first time here and it wasn’t fair for new customers who don’t know this. We ended up leaving because there were 40 people in front of us. No sandwich however amazing is worth a poor experience.

Best sandwich I've had in my life. Went in during a busy time but it was even better, took my time deciding what to get, I saw the guys interact with the customers which was pretty cool, the place is very unique and there is such history. I had a great experience, ordered the Luciano Special w Basil Spread, saw how they prepared it so they really load them and the details really make it an experience ????. Every single bite was heaven.

Finally went here after having it on my list for dare I say years and it didn't disappoint one bit!! I went on a Saturday afternoon on the closer end to closing (4ish, they close at 530) and maybe was in and out in 30-45 minutes.

It's not the biggest market, which means you get front row seats to watch the employees slice the meat and make the sandwiches fresh right in front of you. The employees are all so nice and helpful. Since it is a market, I got some focaccia and lemon cookies which both are phenomenal.

I got the Club Luciano with Sweet copa and legit one of the best sandwiches l've had. All the ingredients are just so fresh and such great quality. It was really worth the $14.75. We sat outside the deli and enjoyed it! Can't wait to go back to try something else, but I may just order the same sandwich again, it was soooo good!!!

Pro tip, grab a number right when you walk in!! You wait for them to call your number then order your sandwich. If you're there for just market goodies, no waiting needed you can purchase right away!

My Brooklynite spouse will now not divorce me for at least five more years.

No joke best deli I've been to east of Philadelphia. Owner's son was in the shop and provided incredible service.

Can't recommend highly enough for items by the lb -OR- built sandwiches. Heavenly mortadella and sopressata.

The Italian Combo at Molinari is arguably the best sandwich in San Francisco!!! Definitely coming back on my next SF trip!

Awesome authentic Italian deli! The Molinari special Italian combo may be one of the best sandwiches we've ever eaten! We went back three times during our time in San Francisco and even made sure to grab a sandwich for our flight back home! Sooo good!!

The best deli ever! Everything is always super fresh! They import from Sicily. I have to get the olives and prosciutto every time I’m in town!

Probably, nay definitely the best Italian sandwich I’ve had since visiting Florence. Seriously outstanding job. And the guys behind the counter so friendly. Had quite a bit of a queue, but take a number as soon as you get there then peruse the shelves. Or just wait patently in line. Either way you won’t regret it.

BTW, We had the Luciano special, one hot one mild, both with the rosemary focaccia. Both equally tasty.

Classic North Beach deli. As much a cultural experience as a culinary one. You can't go wrong here.

The best sandwiches in north beach. Healthy meat portions and good energy. No surprise why they’ve been the best for a century
