The unbelievable decor of its cosy lounge revolves around pop culture, with images and figurines linked to San Francisco's SF universe: Star Wars, Iron Man, gay policemen, Frida Kahlo... Guests enjoy sitting on large sofas in a lounge extended by a bar-canteen serving hearty breakfasts and cocktails in the evening. I had a wonderful stay at a hotel that boasted an excellent location, making it incredibly convenient to access restaurants, Union Square, the cable car terminus, and the metro station (with direct routes to the airport). The customer service was top-notch, with staff members who were both friendly and welcoming. While the room was on the smaller side, it was highly technologized and made smart use of the space beneath the bed for storage, which I appreciated. Additionally, the hotel’s security measures, including access control systems and constant security personnel at the main entrance, gave me a great sense of safety throughout my stay. This blend of modern amenities and thoughtful service truly made my visit enjoyable.

CitizenM San Francisco is a fantastic modern hotel with friendly staff and 24-hour security. The only downside is the slightly compact rooms.

A unique and inclusive stay. We had a great time. All the employees were incredible, but shout out to Jeffie. It is so refreshing to see someone love their job that much. Thanks for making our stay 1000x better. The beds were extremely comfortable and huge. Definitely not a room to pregame in, it is similar to a cruise ship-sized room. Which we loved. Can't wait for our next stay at CitizenM.

Where too many US hotels fail on the decoration and have outdated furniture and subpar breakfast (we all know that horrible char roasted smell), this Dutch chain nails it.

Sure the room is small, but I only need it for shower and sleep. It handles both in utmost comfort and tranquility.

The communal areas are a feast to take in. The breakfast is spot on fresh and delish. Coffee of great quality. Fresh juice.

Only minus vc NY: no rooftop bar.
