The Tunnel Top, with its woodwork and dimmed lights, is the ultimate dive bar. DJs sometimes play upstairs.
Located above the Stockton Street tunnel, Tunnel Top is the dive bar par excellence. This old dairy from the 20's, all woodwork and dimmed red light, with a second floor gallery where sometimes djs officiate, is an excellent place to meet people. And one drinks excellent cocktails there at very correct prices, in particular during the happy hour. The speciality? The Tunnel Top Old Fashion: Bourbon, sugar, bitter, orange and angostura. A good address in the sometimes a bit quiet district of Nob Hill.
